Dementia Day Care
Aranui operates a day care service from 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. This allows people who are currently living in their own homes or with family to make full use of Aranui's services and facilities for just $63.81 a day. Both subsidised and private payers are welcome to attend day care.
Clients are welcome to take part in any of the home's planned activities, the day care has its own activites program which focuses on mental, social and intelectual stimulation, daily exercises forms a important part of the program.
Clients are given a hot, two-course lunch plus morning and afternoon tea from a on site kithcen.
The day stay is designed for clients who need some supervision, compainship and social interactionare during the day. It is also used by families wishing to take a break from round-the-clock care of an elderly relative.
Many of the day care clients come into Aranui on a full time basis or for respite care.
